Useful, not complicated

What to include in a homeschool PE log

A practical record should help a parent remember what happened without turning exercise into a documentation project. Requirements differ by location, but these fields create a clear general-purpose activity history.

Date

Record when the session occurred. A calendar view makes frequency and long gaps easier to see.

Duration

Use actual active time when possible, especially if a session finishes earlier than planned.

Activity

Identify the routine or general focus, such as balance, strength, cardio, sport skills, dance, or mobility.

Completion

Note completed blocks and any meaningful modifications, breaks, or substitutions when your records need that detail.

How BodeeFit history works

From finished routine to printable report

When a guided session ends, BodeeFit adds it to History. The history view summarizes active days, total minutes, streak information, routine type, and completed blocks. It can also produce a print-friendly report for your records.

BodeeFit does not require a sign-up to build or complete a routine. History is saved in the browser on the device you use, so the same browser and device should be used when you want a continuous record. Clearing browser site data or switching devices can remove or separate that local history; print important reports regularly.

  • Finish the session or use the session controls to end it accurately.
  • Open History from the BodeeFit parent navigation.
  • Review dates, minutes, routines, and completed blocks.
  • Select Print Report and save to PDF or print on paper.

Important: BodeeFit’s report is an organizational tool, not a guarantee that a particular jurisdiction’s homeschool requirements have been met.

Track growth without pressure

Use records to notice patterns, not punish children

A PE log is most helpful when it answers questions such as: Are sessions happening regularly? Is the family getting a mix of activity types? Are children always choosing the same movements? Does the current routine length fit the school day?

Minutes and streaks can encourage consistency, but they should not turn movement into a contest. A shorter session may be the appropriate choice on a busy day. Recovery, outdoor play, sports practice, walks, and mobility work can all belong in a broad physical activity picture even when they are not identical in intensity.

Reviewing several weeks at once can reveal whether your family needs more balance work, strength, outdoor movement, or stretching. BodeeFit also uses recent routine history to help vary future exercise selection.

Monthly review

Ask four questions

  • How many days included intentional movement?
  • Did we use several fitness and movement categories?
  • Was the routine length realistic for our schedule?
  • What activities did each child enjoy or avoid?

Recordkeeping questions

Homeschool PE tracker FAQ

Does BodeeFit require a student account?

No. Families can create routines and store session history in the browser without creating an account.

Can I print the PE history?

Yes. The History area includes a print report action. Your browser can print the report or save it as a PDF, depending on your device.

Does the tracker automatically prove compliance?

No. Laws and school requirements differ. Use the report as supporting documentation and confirm which subjects, hours, attendance records, or assessments apply where you live.

Will history follow me to another device?

Not automatically. Because no account is required, history is kept locally in the browser. Print or save reports before clearing data or moving to another device.
